Pending Justice Reforms


(Los Angeles, CA) As crime spikes across California, state and local lawmakers are collaborating with ex-offender advocacy groups to examine “alternatives to incarceration” for youth and adults, considering far-reaching changes such as the permanent elimination of juvenile probation camps, releasing criminals into neighborhoods for supervision by community-based organizations. Lost in this rush to “reform” are the voices of crime victims and survivors. Through this panel discussion, these critical voices have been brought to light.
