Long before the pandemic, AFSCME Local 685 was looking for innovative ways to more quickly and easily inform members of breaking news, get your feedback, and inspire every single member to take action to support campaigns important to you and your family during COVID-19 and beyond.
We’ve moved our monthly membership and steward meetings online for the foreseeable future. We have added Thought Exchange to get your opinions and ideas in shorter periods of time. And we are building out a robust on-line training portal where you can take trainings and received certi cates from the comfort of your own home.

When you take action in the AFSCME Local 685 app, you will earn points, which can be redeemed in the Activist Storefront where you will nd thousands of the rewards, from merchandise to discounted travel and gift cards.
Members who download the Activst App by October 31, 2021, will get a $5 Starbucks e-gift card!
Anyone currently signed up for the app will have an extra 500 points deposited into your account and you can choose your own $5 gift card in the Rewards Store
To download our new app, go to the Google Play or Apple App Store and search for “AveNew Activist.”
Once downloaded, choose “Find Your Organization” and select AFSCME 685 and sign up. Click on “I don’t have a code” then continue.
Enter your First Name, Last Name, Email Address, and Mobile Number.
Set your Password, then begin taking action and earning points toward great rewards, like
