On Thursday, April 13, starting at 10:00 AM, the California Board of State and Community (BSCC) will hold a “Determination of Suitability” regarding Barry J. Nidorf Juvenile Hall and Central Juvenile Hall. The meeting is open to the public. Click here to see agenda, and scroll to bottom of agenda for instructions on attending the zoom/teleconference board meeting.

The L.A. County Probation Oversight Commission (POC) is also holding routine meetings of interest to members. The POC meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 12:00-2:30 PM; however, the April 13 meeting has been canceled (presumably because of the BSCC meeting).

The next POC meetings are scheduled for April 27, May 11, and May 25 (click here for the 2023 schedule). Additionally, the POC is holding “Town Halls” on April 19 and May 27. Click here to get details and to find out how to participate.
