The AFSCME Local 685 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the County of Los Angeles for 2019-21 includes Article 49 – Training Fund, which provides funding to our Union for training to increase Members’ skills, ability, and knowledge to do our jobs in an exemplary and safe fashion.

 

Critically, “All training activities are to be conducted on an employee’s own time, unless pre-authorized by the employee’s supervisor. This MOU provision will sunset at the end of this contract term.”
